Crestmont Counseling Center offers enhanced services for families and children seeking Pre and Post Adoption Services. Crestmont Counseling Center 'was born' out of the growing need for adoption-specific counseling services that are not readily available in most areas.

Staff has over 25 years experience in working with children, teenagers and adults. The Center specializes in working with families who have adopted. Families looking to adopt or who have previously adopted would benefit from the services offered at Crestmont.

MMPI TESTING and PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION

Crestmont Counseling Center offers MMPI testing and psychological evaluations to families adopting internationally. The MMPI and psychological evaluations are a required component of an international adoption in some cases. We are able to offer this unique service to anyone who requires MMPI testing and or psychological evaluation reports for adoption, employment, etc.  The MMPI evaluations and the psychological evaluations and report are conducted by a licensed psychologist.

REACTIVE ATTACHMENT DISORDER

Family Tree Counselors have developed a specialty in working with children who struggle with attachment issues. Counselors work with helping families parenting children with reactive attachment disorder. In addition, they work with children who have been traumatized by abuse and neglect as well as those who have been impacted by substance abuse.

Sessions with children generally include parental consultation, time with the parent(s) and child together plus time with the child alone when this is indicated. When the treatment request is for a child, treatment is felt to be most successful when the parent can also receive support in helping their child address the problem.

FAMILY AND MARRIAGE COUNSELING, ETC

Crestmont Counseling Center offers family therapy and marital therapy for families in the community as well as being available to provide individual therapy for people who may be struggling with depression, anxiety or post traumatic disorder.
