Families looking to adopt from Russia must meet certain requirements. These requirements are a combination of the regulations set by the Government of Russia, Family Tree Adoption Agency (FTAA), and the United States Citizenship and Immigration and Services (USCIS).
1. Couples and Single Women up to 50 years old or on a case by case basis.
2. Couples and Single Women must have a minimum total yearly income of
at least $35,000 per year.
3. Both applicants of a married couple must be United States citizens.
4. While the Agency prefers couples who have been married at least one year prior to application, the quality and stability of the relationship will be of primary concern.
5. Families may have other children when adopting from Russia.
6. Ability to meet state and federal requirements for adoption.
