Family Tree is a Registered Agency in The Ukraine. This program is OPEN. Couples and single women are encouraged to apply.

Due to a variety of societal, cultural and financial reasons, there are children available for adoption from the Ukraine. The children of the Ukraine, while mostly male, are infants, toddlers and school age. Female children are also available to adopt and are of infant, toddler and school age, although the wait is longer for a female child.

 Because of the unpredictability of available children in Ukraine at any given time, families must be flexible and willing to adopt EITHER a boy or girl.

Abandoned infants and children are for the most part cared for in government run orphanages after an attempt has been made to locate the birth family.

While the children are generally healthy, it is important to remember that they have been in an orphanage/institutional setting and that it is not uncommon for them to have physical and or developmental delays, colds or upper respiratory infections, rashes etc. While every child is different, most of these children flourish once placed with their adoptive family. The children of the Ukraine are a joyous gift waiting for a family to adopt and love them.
