  • We have been married ten years and are looking to complete our family with a child through adoption.  This will be our first child (we'd like two, eventually). 
  • We would welcome a child of any race or background.  We ourselves come from different cultures, and we are exited by the idea that our child may bring yet another background to our family.
  • We live in a diverse urban community and want to raise a child who will appreciate art, music, and other cultures.
  • We have been very fortunate to live abroad, pursue advanced degrees, and even to have written books.  We hope to provide our child with similar opportunities to develop fully in his or her own unique way.
  • Our preference is for an open adoption.  If possible, we would like our child to know its birthmother and the birthmother to feel welcome in our family.  But we will respect your wishes and desires no matter what.

  • Joanne is a nurse practitioner and Joe is a manager at a computer company. Joe is an easy-going, thoughtful man from a large Irish family. Joanne has a sparkling personality with a quick smile to brighten any day.
  • We are both active and enjoy a variety of activities. We take ballroom dancing lessons and enjoy dancing together.
  • We just built our dream home that we hope to share with a child.
  • We feel blessed to have a strong and supportive family. Together we have over fifteen nieces and nephews—four who were adopted into our family. Your child will be a special part of our family.

Our relationship is filled with love, peace and happiness; and this is what has created the foundation of our marriage and commitment to one another. We feel we have so much love to offer and we are looking forward to beginning our family through the miracle of adoption.
